The basis of anti-theism, I believe, is that irrational beliefs are fundamentally potentially harmful. It's just a more subtle form of harm.
Any time someone has a belief which doesn't correlate well with reality, it may cause them to make sub-optimal decisions which affect themselves and others.
This is why I encourage scepticism and clear thinking so much, because it's in everyone's interest to hold beliefs that are as correct as possible. This applies to beliefs about absolutely everything, not just God or religion. I'm in no way saying, "Just agree with me", I'm saying think things through at a fundamental level. Examine what assumptions you are making, why you are making them, and if those assumptions are necessary. Examine what reasons you have for beliefs, and whether they are supported by evidence.
I'm not here to tell anyone what conclusions to reach, not at all. If people just have a good think, then I'm happy, whatever the result.
I'm also not in the business of going around telling people which of their beliefs they should have and which they shouldn't; I can only put forward arguments and evidence for what I consider to be rational positions. I can be wrong as much as anyone else so I'm never expecting anyone to see me as an authority.
Wow that was weird... I hope I got my point across
