You might actually enjoy D&D, the roleplay can be fun.
When I played Revs game on TTA I started off as a halfling bard. Unfortunately that died. So then I chose a Scottish gnome berserker. I think lapsing into Glaswegian in-thread probably killed the game because no one knew what I was saying.
I like playing really shit characters
I remember playing Warhammer Fantasy once and I chose to play a diseased and stupid Halfling rat catcher. That turned out to be really successful. For example, in one game the party were taken hostage by an evil cult and the Halfling was able to join their side immediately because her really low intelligence meant that she was convinced by anything. She got promoted to torturer.
