I don't think ascertaining power through war is "getting lucky", He started and won 26 something wars with polytheistic and Jewish populations all justified through "revelations", commanding all believers that they were ordered by God to go and kill every man until they submitted. If you'd enjoy that reality TV show I'm worried for you...
The worst thing Jesus said or did was pretty much "The Son of Man shall send forth His angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity, and shall cast them into a furnace of fire; there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth", that's a damn site better than Mo... Then again Jesus may have simply died too soon ('if' he lived) to do any conquesting
