And virus... well the good ones... should just work their magic and leave you clueless about their existence - no blue screens, no overheating, no cpu hogging, no resource hogging, no nothing... not even a blip on the running processes list.
Also, don't use IE to browse weird sites. Firefox, or a whole virtual machine.
