We're rethinking the holidays given the current economy. We've put an absolute limit on spending for gifts. We sat down and talked about it and realized we couldn't remember most of what we received as gifts last year. So we've decided on a day of food and drink, we're pooling $$ for an outrageous bottle of champagne because a part of the holiday is decadence, putting together a good dinner and snack menu and calling it a day.
I have to admit I'm liking not doing it this year! I hate shopping for me much less for someone else.
Good thinking! I always like seeing the face of someone who just got the perfect gift, and the challenge is tempting. But this year, I'm barely keeping my head above water.
