Yeah. I've been trying to help the guy. He sounds really unhappy, because he thinks there's a gun to his head. So much so that he's trying to convince us there's a gun to our head too to try and save his own ass.

We can all see there is no gun. This is all needless angst.

If you have to try that hard to show me there's a gun to my head, maybe you need to consider that you might be wrong. One of us is seriously deluded. I've been alive 38 years and I've seen fuck all. Just millions of theists all telling me to do what they say or else. Only in a religious context is this behaviour socially acceptable, and I don't see why it should be.

It's not hard to write in a book, "People are going to tell you that you're wrong. But you're not, they're wrong."

And then again, saving myself includes a wide set of acts, including praying, charity, and other stuff that don't include non-believers. I can do like the millions of Muslims who decide to live life and not bother about non-believers. Believe it or not; Islam does spread despite what our efforts were.

A lot of you don't see the gun because it's an Atheist forum, after all.
I too saw tons of Atheists with tons of arguments, sadly they don't seem to convince.

"Correct until proven wrong". That goes on both of us; why when I'm not convincing to you it's cool, but when you're not convincing to me is a hideous act that doesn't come out but from a brainwashed wretched fiend who worships 1984's big brother?

I discuss this here because it's a forum related to discussion about these stuff : actually in real life, I tend to keep my faith a secret, unless somebody asks.

An example I used a lot here in the past was the base case of recursive functions., which is the special conditions that forces you to exist the loop of the function.

The Quran provides lots of good reasons for why God is the special case. Logically, to me, it makes sense.  one major reason is that all things must come from a source, and I just simply don't believe that the big bang was caused by a random event; I think it was engineered, by a creator, which our minds can't get how he is there, because all we know and see is creations. Asking how he came to be is is just as meangless because the rules of creation don't apply to him.

Which is what I was pretty much saying through this topic.
