Saudis now banned from marrying foreigners

Indeed, never really understood why anyone, especially a woman, would wish to convert to Islam. but then again I guess people be crazy.

That's the problem. We look at Wahhabism and the Saudis and call it Islam. It's shunned, even by most muslims. For different reasons, some of them religious, some of them political, some of them - for lack of a better word - bigoted. Bigoted because they look down at the Saudi ruling class as uppity nomads without any real culture.

But women aren't treated abysmally in every islamic country or society. There are vast differences, as the presence of female politicians in various countries shows. Doesn't change the fact that marrying a red blooded Saudi male looks like masochism.
