Not at all, but if it were, then it's a done deal - as already mentioned. If a person claims that someones been murdered, for example, but there is no body, and no missing person........the evidence suggests(lol) that said person is lying or mistaken. If there is a body, or a missing person...and nothing other than eyewitness testimony as to how that person ended up dead or missing....a conviction is going to be exceedingly difficult to secure. The defence need only remind the jury that the prosecution has not established a single detail of the crime or even that a crime occurred, merely pointed a finger. I seriously doubt that a charge would be brought against a person until there was something more than eyewitness testimony in the first place. What kind of incompetent prosecutor steps into the courtroom with nothing but "he said, she said"?
