Nothing ends violence faster than a few B-52's dropping bombs! After the dust clears everything is peaceful be cause the violent assholes are all dead. Do you realize how peaceful Israel would be without Muslims?

Ending violence with violence is not a solution, it is hypocrisy. All you've done is wipe out a violent people and exposed your own violent nature. Do you realize how peaceful the world might be if the USA and other allies stopped with all the policing of it? War is never the solution.

One thing Dennis Miller said comes to mind. I don't have the exact words, because Google Books decided to allow only three of the five pages of that particular rant to show, but here's the gist of it, though I think parts of it are word-for-word: If you think the world will be right when we're all one big happy colour, think again, because, eventually things are going to spiral down to the point where there's just one guy left, "and no doubt, that crazy motherfucker will stab the mirror."

To further drive the point home, a quote apparently by Bertrand Russell (Wikiquote doesn't cite it): "War does not determine who is right — only who is left."
