Look, even if I agreed that cell phones are completely safe, which they are not, they still create radiation. Now is it at safe levels? Hard to tell when you consider the history of corporate scientists who kept led in gas way after it was proven to cause health problems. And we have also known smoking was bad for you but the industry pumped so much money into politics kept the truth under wraps and or shouted "RIGHTS RIGHTS RIGHTS" . Doctors knew that concussions in sports, especially the NFL were a bad thing, but the NFL also pumped money into politics to keep those facts under wraps.
And we have even known that pumping out too much CO2 for a century and now we are just getting around to facing facts.
I have a cell phone too. I don't keep it next to my body for long periods of time so I am sure I am pretty safe. I also smoke, but admittedly I am pissed that when I was a kid the industry sold it as glamorous and even made candy cigarettes. The only way I am quitting is if you put me in a straight jacket drug me up and lock me in a room for a year. It is called an addiction for a reason.
So the argument is, what is the balance to protect individual rights, even to the point of doing stupid shit, and the responsibility of the corporate world to accept facts and not lie about the safety of a product? Right now I do not see the corporate world globally caring enough about product safety, especially oil.
