So in short, it's not being a Christian that creates the disability, it's being an asshat that does it.
Except asshatery so intrinsic to Christianity it would take some degree of intellectual dissonance to consider oneself a Christian without feeling obligated to be an asshat.
Not that intellectual dissonance in that case would not improve the individual, or rather would not prevent the individual from being further unimproved by Christianity.
