No, they don't. LoL, HoN, HoS and a lot of other stand-alone battle-arena type games(virtually all, in fact) stem from the original mod in Warcraft III "DotA" which I play and have played far before these came out.
Yeah, it's kind of like LoL, I hear, except it would be more accurate to say LoL is rather like DotA than the other way around.
