Now, it's possible not to study at all after high school, and make a decent wage. I have heard that assembly-line workers make good money. How they handle the boredom, I don't know, but they manage. Trash men and the guys who dig ditches, or climb poles to fix electrical lines make good money. So if you like being outside all the time, doing physical labor, that might be for you. Or you could study a trade. Mechanics make a decent living. Construction workers too - welders, plumbers, and carpenters.
But if you want to go to college, you need decent grades. If you want to get into a good school for medicine or law, you need perfect grades. I second the ideas of parental help and peer study groups. Want to design video games? Work in TV, movies or media? Find great new uses for solar power? Perfect the self-driving flying car? Walk the surface of Mars?
