I like this! I think trying to glean any truth about reality beyond what you stated above is hopeless, but not in a depressing way.
For anyone who has never heard of him (assuming you are interested at all) check out the Albert Camus Wikipedia page. He was an atheist and absurdist to the bone, and the nature of his untimely death is as fascinating (to me, at least) as his life was. But you guys probably already got that from my user name
