If you think that's bad.. That's not bad. American criminals are insane!. Literally. My sister works as a nurse in a jail.. So she'd know. Her first week in, someone we had attended highschool with (and worked at the grocery store with), came in. He was a rapist. He couldn't help it, he raped. But so he would punish himself.. By shoving jagged objects up his urethra. Having him say "Hello Linzie" must have been creepy as hell but she actually wasn't too phased; she'd spent an internship in the psych side of the jail and let's just say, poor poor farm animals! Mind you, this was in a state smack dab in the middle of the Bible Belt and farming community. In the cities we have gang wars and drugs/liquor are so prevalent everywhere to the point that I'd say 8/10 of my family is addicted to alcohol or drugs. Prescription or not.
Americans mental health is a travesty, and everyone is self medicating in their own ways. Its for this reason I don't believe we are a first world country much less "the greatest in the world" like we are taught!
I'm going to stop ranting now. :}

If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment.
I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite.
