And, AtlasS33, Muhammad's first wife, Kadija, was a successful business women so life couldn't have been that bad for women in the time of Jahiliyyah (Age of Ignorance). Second, which historical documents (or, preferably, archaeological digs/sites) form the basis of your claims that life was terrible in the time of Jahiliyyah? I hope these aren't simply names (how do we know these people actually existed?) plucked from the Hadith (which you say you dislike) and/or other flimsy Sahabah sources. I would love to know, thank you
