I don't believe a word of that pool. You were not the only one at all, and especially judging someone in South Africa with absolutely no comprehension of their culture. For all you know sharing showers is an every day thing there. But more to the point, she's a foreigner in SA, so actually she shouldn't be expected to understand where there may be moire risks when compared to her culture, and she has every right to expect men not to rape her - even if they inviter her into the shower with them.

That's a much happier ending than my story which ends with me alone!! Aractus really? Your going to be sexist enough to say that a woman, who is a anti-rape advocate, should not be expected to make herself aware of the risks when visiting another country? They're grown adults not fucking children. Of course anyone traveling is expected to make themselves aware of the risks of different places. For example if I traveled to Texas I would not bring up or use the word atheist because they're a lot of Christian gun nuts there.
Also they didn't share the shower, he offered to let her use his as she didn't have hot water at the hostel she was at. According to her story she didn't even have her clothes off when he busted down the door. Now if she was raped(I'm a little skeptical about the story still) then that is horrible and unjustifable.
Now who in their right fucking mind takes an offer to use the shower from a half drunk, homeless man, that has made it super clear he wants to fuck you, in the middle of the rape capital of the world.
