Jesus was a Jew but he was also God.
He was told the rest of the Jews to get on board and follow him, but they were too proud and selfish and would not listen to him. It sort of seems like the pharisees and Sadducees (they were sad, you see!) were mean and cruel to Jesus for no reason :/.
They practically forced Pontius Pilate to crucify Him ( scourging at the pillar and crown of thorns not good enough for them!).
Many Jews are sadly clinging to a "Dead covenent" with God. They'd better wise up before it's too late for them!
