Jesus was born in June of 2BC, in that month of that year Jupiter "the king planet" and Venus "the mother planet" came into alignment and formed the brightest star ie. light in the heavens that has ever been seen. When the Magi came to Herod they said they had seen His sign in the heavens and this is what started them on their journey. The star that anounced the birth of Jesus was not a comet,meteor,bright shining angel or a special star created for the event. The God who created the heavens and knew the exact movements of His creation had His timing down perfect, just as I stated in the omniscience and perfection post. God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.
