I was only questioning the morality of the whole system. Whatever God 'wants' is irrelevant if he's not real, but what religious people 'think' he wants always informs their actions, and often not in a good way.

How about just being dead for eternity? Pure nothingness, absence of awareness, the end of existence. That's what'll happen to me after I die, and I accept that. And I can almost guarantee you that you'll meet the same fate, whether or not you wasted your life praising a non-existent God.
