HN, agree 100% with your blunt honesty but sometimes I picture pops as a war hero who has been through too many tours...
Yes, maybe that's exactly what he needs to sleep at night...

This is why forums like this where you can't make out who's on the other side can be a bit rough for some people who just want some reassurance...
Sorry pops ...Maybe this forum isn't for you... We're atheists ... we have no need to sugar coat anything... we know and accept that life can be a little meaningless at times..
