Well look who comes to the rescue of Anton LeVay! Guess we found the Satanist masquerading as an atheist. Of course I know about his misleading and deceiving teachings. The church of Satan deceives their followers, and since it's occult in nature, only the upper echelons of the externalization of the hierarchy know the true meaning of it. The lower useful idiots have no idea they are being intentionally deceived. Be careful about adopting their ideology, even if you think it's just about the material world, and has nothing to do with Satan and Lucifer. Not at all, but if you have researched these groups including the many sects of Satanists and the occult which means hidden, or the esoteric, you start to understand their symbolism. I don't focus on this stuff but have researched it in my past, and can see it today because I understand them. Doesn't mean I believe in what they do however. Symbolism has existed for thousands of years. I would suppose most people have seen gang hand symbols, and gang graffiti but don't always fully understand it. Some people see that and have no clue what it means, or what the colors mean. For those in the gang it makes perfect sense because they are not the profane. Most people see things but don't understand the context. Most of the symbolism is what as they call it hidden in plain sight. They will show you something that to them and their initiates, means something but to you means nothing. Also, it doesn't really matter what you think because ultimately they are acting on their beliefs, whether you believe it or not. For example, do you think a Muslim suicide bomber will get 40 something virgins in the afterlife? I don't, but they do, and they are acting on that belief and blow themselves up along with others so they die as a martyr, and take out infedels at the same time which in their mind ensures those virgins.
