Sounds like a take on the old movie, "Willard".
Great remake was done a few years ago, starring Crispin Glover.
Ah, just looked that up... not quite I think. This was a light-hearted comedy, where they saved him somehow. It's been a while since I've seen it, but I think they wanted to stop him getting evicted because of the way he lived (Jerry O'Connell - the guy from Sliders). Pizza everywhere etc was their idea of paradise. So they do a bit of matchmaking and singing and dancing etc and it comes out as a very strange, feel-good movie, but still kinda gross, especially when they're kind of swarming
Ah yes, I remember... the film was based on an MTV video (I think).
