Just wondering. The government paid for my Masters and I never had to publish a single paper that people would actually see.

Lucky you, if the government paid for your masters. Education is free where I live, but I still had work for my education, since I had to eat and bunk down somewhere, and my parents couldn't support me.

I didn't publish any paper either, but the 19th and 20th century are kind of my special fields, since I got my degree handing over a paper based on that period. It was about the German colonies.
