Agreed ... never seen it but always said I will watch it without prejudice (I'm aware of the negative rep it's got). I'm one of the few people who quite liked Waterworld ... not a classic by any means and the ending is laughable in the way it tries to make his departure in some way meaningful and enigmatic (a simple happy ever after was all it needed ... and deserved), no intellect required but otherwise ... yeah, OK, whatever.
