I am not offended by your position. A number of posts have questioned why it is that you hold your belief that a deity exists. I'll wager that you have the same reason for believing that there is a god as other deists or theists do - you have been told that a god exists. It's likely that you have been told (or read) about all sorts of gods; this is called hearsay. What you have basically done is discarded all of the attributes of god that others believe, and watered him down to some indescribable, unknowable entity. I'll concur with others - what's the point?
To me, a "deist" is an atheist with a safety net. "I don't believe in all that bullshit that organized religions preach, but just in case some of it is right, I'll believe that there is some sort of god".
