It's when one fixates on their target so hard they become oblivious to everything else around them. Not to harp on the target lock thing, but again. This is beyond your personal experience and my own. Understand I lead with my experiences and you felt you could invalidate them. But understand I did not lead with them and end with them. I lead with my personal experiences inorder to validate or support the studies, the books, the Harvard recommended reading materials, and even the episode of ophra I also quoted/referenced that not only outlines every single point I made, but also supports my conclusions...
If you read my bit about target lock you should have been able to see that your determination to refute my personal experiences and validate your own over mine, as blinded you to all of the other studies, books, papers and media attention the problem I was outlining.
