DUDE no and sorry. "Apex" does NOT mean shit. It only means something in terms of our ability to extend our FINITE ride. Outside that we dont mean shit to evolution or our 4 billion year old planet, or our 14 billion year old universe.
Being on top only means we are smarter than others species, that's it, but we are also at the same time an invasive species and exploit to the point of hurting the home we live on. UNLESS you accept that being on "top" does not mean shit. And right now outside of the experts most humans are stuck still in local tribal ignorance.
"Apex" has to be put in terms of pragmatism, not just "we have bigger brains". AND RIGHT NOW we don't have enough pragmatic humans focusing on the right things.
And again, any evolutionary biologist can tell you with other life in an ecosystem, that "apex" species can dominate but also to the point of self destruction. That is why "apex" isn't as much as important word to focus on as much as "pragmatism".
"Im smart" is also the argument apologists use to spread religion, and that to can be an "apex" in a society. "On top" doesn't mean good or always right.
