A friend of mine brought this up some time ago. I find it extremely curious in that rape is clearly not the punchline here, in fact, it's periphery to everything else in the comic. Yes rape is horrible, that's why this guy wants to be rescued, nobody is laughing at rape. We're laughing because the hero is a douchebag.
