American libertarianism, as is the kind found to be professed among tea-baggers. Has long been accepted by most worth-while political and economic scholars to be a perversion of the original ideology, something laughable at best and truly terrifying at worst. If you're going to cite tea-baggers as libertarians it might be prudent to prefix with "American" so we don't quibble over definitions here.
