No, pets. They'd never be worth the trouble, wrong breed. More to teach my kids a little bit of farm life, to have childhood memories in common...eat my table scraps, and till up fields from sod. They also hate snakes....and I'd like to see fewer snakes. Their mom was a house-pig. Little bastards eat dog food. Dogs not happy. Tried to kill them both already.
@Valk...lol!
@Vor..... Oh I'll plant something in my garden, if a christian wants to practice their faith there, alright. I'll plant it deep in a bed of lime.
@Nymph Carrots, now there's something I wish I could grow, but the soil is almost entirely clay here, so it never works. Thought about using my window planters for carrots...they'd get some shade from the summer sun that way. But then I'd have to move my flowers.......or get more planters....hmn............moar planterz!
@Mama I'll get pictures up eventually, when it's more than just bare dirt. Used to be plenty on the boards from my garden, think my img shack account went kaput, though. Prepping seedbed is a sort of a zen moment for me after the winter. I have to be careful, because I'll work the ground longer and harder than I should...just trying to get the line straighter, the color deeper. Maybe I need a sand garden or something, work out my pattern and order fetish in a less counter-productive way?
@Little Lunch TAWBURRIES! Sounds like you've got a nice thing going. I love asian lettuce, and winter greens. Always had good luck with em.
