Hijaab would of been ambiguous, because it's the word we say now, but all it would mean is veil, and would not convey the meaning that hair ought to be covered. However a more clear word is used to imply the hair should be covered is used in Quran, and it's unambiguous, and in my opinion anyone who is wants to sincerely know what the Quran says regarding the issue, will know it is clear in this regard. I disagree with the notion that there is ambiguity over this issue in Quran.
