I really hate this bullshit that any hint of regulation, or tax or actually being decent to your fellow humans is some sort of call for Stalin's communism. If you think those people back then wanted FDR be a dictator you are insane. And if you think today's democrats want that you are also out of your mind.
Look at all that blue between the great depression and when Reagan started trickle up. Started to go south the more red we keep adding.
