Pointing fingers is important and justified. But it would carry more weight if the same politicians doing that wouldn't kiss Saudi ass at the same moment. Iran is a shitty place, but compared to most of the other states in the region, it's a democratic paradise. So painting them as all evil doesn't achieve much. Even more so since they're just in the process of opening up, with a younger generation taking over, more willing to reform.
So a little more nuance would go a long way. But I guess that's lost on the ones calling the shots and even more lost on people like the ones cheering Trump.
Same could be said for kissing Israel's ass. Lets cut the crap here. It is about resources and the sooner more people skip the bullshit of religion and nationality and business models the more diplomacy might be had. I only agree that the east isn't quite up with the west. But yea, if I had my way, and the fewest humans would be affected, would let Islam and Jews have at it. Problem is, I live on this rock as well.
