Please send us your nation of legal residence so that we may schedule our invasion. We will show you what is the greatest country!
I've never understood why Americans are so insecure about their national prestige and have a tendency to only think in terms of military might. It's a sign of a young culture.
The whole concept of greatest needs to be applied to something. Greatest military might? Sure, we'll give you that. Doesn't mean much when it ends up getting bogged down in wars that it cannot win and fights against enemy soldiers that may be less well equipped but are much more used to harsh conditions. Greatest place to live? There are plenty of other countries with higher quality of life. Greatest economy? Sure maybe, but how equal is the wealth divided? Greatest civilisation? Not if you judge it by how it treats its most vulnerable members of society and the bigotry and prejudice that gets given free reign.
It's like debating who is the best guitarist. You can't come up with an answer because you need to figure out how to qualify 'best' or 'greatest'.
So yes, nation of legal residence is Scotland. Are you going to invade now?
No. Thought not.
