I'm strongly appreciating the diversity of the pokemon I've come across in Black. Infact, I'm only missing a dragon and a steel out of the 29 I've caught so far (5th badge in), and I'm about to catch a steel (ferroseed). I could have gotten a steel from catching Drilbur in Wellspring cave and then evolving him, but I didn't know it was there at the time. No dragons until after this point though.
The difficulty is adequate enough to give me a challenge most of the time
(then again, I'm not sticking Sawk in the front of my party and letting him double kick to victory. He is overpowered. Very. Use him if you want an easy game. Use him if you really like his design. Use him if you need a strong fighting type with some decent speed. Use him if you want to 6-0 teams that don't resist fighting. Use him if you are like me and can think of no better use for it than to kick ass.) The 6-0 is a mild exaggeration, because most of the trainers in the game up to where I am do not have six pokemon. He will still murder their entire team.

I wouldn't normally put Victini in my party for the first run (such pokemon distort the data), but I am still leveling it on the side and its there for now. Trying out Minccino and so far not impressed (though i am a fan of her very elegant design). Whirlipede, and he's cemented on the first run team. Musharna, thinking about replacing him (though he definitely puts out). Sawk (yes, the very one that nearly brought me the game-over screen), and he is a fucking monster. He is unreasonably strong... and he's fucking Timid for heaven's sake (minus attack, bonus speed). He deserves his nickname of Berserker (

). Finally, a Dewott I named Waltercorn. I wanted to name him waltercorny, but alas that was 11 characters I'm not so much impressed by him as I find him useful.
Had a Liepard in my team for a long time, and unsure if I want to put it back. Alternately, I want to try out Sandile, and given how good and badass it is: I'm likely to have it cement a place. Yamask serves some uses and I had him for a while... but not sure I'm willing to invest in him fully. Besides, I am about to get my Electric/Bug spider, so someone's got to go Oh, and my electric eel with levitate ^_^ This generation is doing a good job of keeping me juggling my team members ^_^
