And "our objectively real law breaking would have legal consequences for us," is an argument.... why?
You can get fined for speeding in your car, but child molestation should not be punished... because you would find the punishment unpleasant? Does the Catholic church understand what the law is? Or have they been above it so long that they only have the vaguest idea of what it's supposed to be for?
