Wait... I don't get it. The job of a parent is to raise their children how they think is best for their child until they become of legal age, right? It's not to say parents disown their children after they are legal just that after children are old enough to make their own decisions -patents should respect that and not make decisions for them.
I don't understand your point as to why this process shows a lack of empathy on the parents part,could you explain please?
because she does not follow your/our parenting model. She believes in manipulating and controlling her kids the rest of her life for the sake of 'empathy.'
