It does, you just have to stick with the training.
It worked for me because my dad stuck with it, it didn't for sister #2 because she could do no wrong, and it did for sister #3 because someone took the time to stick with her training as well.
Yea, my parents stuck to it. And it worked for me. Up until I was about 23 and realized that their ideas about morals and right vs wrong didn't match mine. There's no amount of training (read as abuse) that can prevent someone from ever having their own thoughts and developing their own conclusions.
