What's reality? it stops where your hope stops. If you hope to die forever, then that's your reality.
Hubble's law says the universe is expanding at an exponential rate which suggests a 'big freeze' rather than a big crunch.........
You neglected the role of dark matter, we still have no idea about what it is, and what role it might play later on.
So as the role of gravity in stopping the expansion. Is it closed or open? too early to decide..
