I will play the person you believe I am, a "dumb redneck christian" and I will ask you things so you can answer them to me with evidence, of course. First question:
If God did not create the earth, how is it that we have an earth here and we live in it? Also, I beg, provide evidence for your claims.
1. If there is a god, it is certainly not that tyrant from the various scriptures, so throw those stupid books away.
2. One of the main reasons for believing in a god is the 'god of the gaps' syndrome. How could all this exist without anything to start it off into an organized universe/reality (stick whatever term you like there). My answer to that is a question. Is it not more likely that the this was one of infinite universes that was successful and that we happen to be in, rather than, magically a super intelligent/powerful being existed and with all this power and intelligence, this is it? "Don't fuck monkeys or you will go to hell."
3. Then there is that whole infinite regression thing. An infinity cannot pass, so there must be a beginning. So if god had a beginning, what created god?
4. If the universe is "too complex" to exist without creation, how much more complex is god? How does god exist without creation?
5. My personal opinion. There cannot be a beginning because, before the beginning there was nothing to start the beginning. Infinite regression means an infinity must pass before we can be here and we are here. All that leaves is that all possibilities exist and we are only aware of this one.
You make people miserable and there's nothing they can do about it, just like god.
