Please stop sugarcoating the truth. It's not all rosy and dandy there for women in India.

And even in your community, whatever it is, the way you describe treating women reeks of manipulation and making sure they remain inferior to men by "keeping them happy as they are".

So now we are master manipulators because we keep women happy, what's next? We're rapists because we bring our women flowers?

Keeping women happy is one thing (not that this should solely be your burden to bear anyway as she needs to realize how to make herself happy as well), but making sure they are happy being pampered spoiled princesses does suggest that you'd rather they don't be treated as adult human beings. That is sexism, and IMO, also a form of misogyny (as this is often associated with resentment of women when they refuse to be happily inferior to men).
