I could vote Trump and benefit. I'm a native white male business owner. I could vote Hillary and benefit.......my wife is a native white female business owner....lol. I win either way, America loses either way. I'll still follow our laws, and support our country and our president -as an american- regardless of who wins. I still live here and own property here, and whatever consequence of either will still aply to me...and it's not as if I'm not aware. I just know better than to think that these ridiculous things the right and left are scaring each other with have any relationship to reality.
We never get more than we demand (or pay for), and we usually get a fair bit less....so maybe we should up our expectations and stop assuring them that they're doing enough to keep us pulling those levers and legitimizing their bullshit?
Oh, I didn't mean you, I meant the OP.
I do agree, America is pretty fucked either way. Honestly, I cannot make up my mind. A few weeks ago, I was refusing to vote for Hillary, but a few people reminded me of the probable Supreme Court justices being open in the next cycle, and I wavered pretty hard.
My own husband does not even register to vote because he is fully disillusioned with the entire system, so I fully understand even those that refuse to vote, for various reasons. I just feel that not voting so you can say it isn't your fault (again, not aimed at you, but at the OP), is a really selfish reason. Avoiding blame. pfft.
And yet, I will probably be guilted into voting for Hillary, but I'm not going to be happy no matter what I do. No vote? Does not seem like an option for me. Vote for 3rd party? Maybe, but since Bernie isn't going to run as that, no one there appeals to me either.
Rock and hard place does not even begin to describe how many Americans feel about it, but at this point, I feel defeating Trump is most likely the best we can hope for. :
