I thought it was common place for African Americans to use this term in a collegial manner? Forgive me if I am wrong.

I'll take your word for it, as I don't know that many African Americans. But the term is offensive, irrespective of the melanin content of the speaker.

But you miss the point. I was speaking solely about the girl in the video. She's clearly a racist, since she didn't bitch about lazy people, but about 'those lazy niggers'.
