We have assertions made about us in many more forums (churches, prayer meetings etc) than this little forum, are we as welcome to challenge their views as you are here?

Would you offer the same congratulations to an atheist challenging your view in your church?
He was congratulating me on being pregnant.
I've been on a couple theist forums. I can't speak for all of them, but the ones I participated in CAF, and Reasonable Faith, atheists are welcome so long as they are respectful. But the rule about being respectful applies to everyone. Also, I'm not "trying to challenge your views" at all. I don't care that you don't believe in God. I was merely clearing up the assertion about Christianity made in the OP, on the Christian subforum. I'm not sure what exactly your point is, unless you think I personally started a forum where atheists weren't allowed to talk, in which case you could rightfully call me a hypocrite for it.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
