Without knowing anything about the guy, I really couldn't even begin to answer that question with any kind of accuracy.
I forced to guess, I'd say I think he was just speaking colloquially. I doubt either of them were formally diagnosed with any form of sexual addiction. IOW, he was just saying "my girlfriend and I just can't get enough of each other."
