Ish. Bull sharks. Mean as hell, big. Mostly the adolescants that loiter, but sometimes...Old Hitler stays inshore for whatever reason. They seem to be increasing their range from the brackish inward...and must have been doing so for some time. A growing concern for property owners and swimming children. Mentioning that won't help sell watefront condos though...which is a big business for developers since the coastlines are pretty well choked up and swampland is cheap. So we don't.
I don't know if you've ever been, but if you have (or you go) take a look at all the people in the water, really..anywhere in florida. Most of them aren't floridians and that's not -just- because it's a tourist state.
