Yes and it is (partly) the reason for Xians animosity against the jews. You see the jews could charge interest and so became the bankers of Europe of the middle ages making them wealthy, which got up the nose of normal Xians and more notably the rulers who were being outspent by lesser individuals and Christ murderers too! and so the trouble started.
