In all the 20 years of my life, I've had friends of many different faiths/beliefs. Christians, Mormons, Buddhists, Muslims, Sikhs, deists, other atheists, even a Pagan here and there. Never lost a friendship because of it. I think that as long as people have a decent degree of respect for each other's contrasting beliefs, there isn't a problem. My friends didn't push me about it and I didn't push them; religion isn't a subject we tended to gravitate towards anyway.
I guess so long as people are casual about it, where's the harm? I'm uncertain if I could ever maintain a friendship with someone who was a vigilant, active, in-your-face theist, but I rarely meet people like that, thank god.
