LOL, Well...I'm not an internet dater, and I'm pretty firmly locked in..so I'm not driving anyone off...but I wouldn't have cared if I was. I don't mind a little discernment. It's not a web, I'm not a spider.
I'm not really sure what the qualitative difference between being upfront..rude as you call it...and doing what you just mentioned is. Except, ofc, in the case of being rude, the poor bastard knows exactly what it was that you didn't like. No stewing in their own self doubt and misery.
